This was my most-anticipated book ofand it lived up to the hype. I knew from the time that I heard about a YA novel featuring six queer witches among the California redwood forests, I was hooked. This is such an atmospheric, encompassing read.

Keep in mind that there are some people that we refer to as energy vampires or psychic vampiresbut if you're talking about the blood-sucking sanguinarians of movies and novels, that's an entirely different thing. We are back to school this week, hooray! It has been a long, relaxing and very nice summer holiday, but now we are looking forward to the new school term, the change of season, and all that comes with it. I certainly will not miss the heatwave that we had, it was awful!
